VALIANT VALIDATED SIGNATURE SERIES (VVSS)

The Valiant Validated Signature Series comic books (VVSS) are regular issue books,
signed by various artists/creators, and embossed by Valiant in 1993 and 1994.
The books were originally distributed in a protective mylar sleeve with the Valiant logo
embossed on the flap, and came with a certificate of authenticity signed by Steve Massarsky
(except where indicated for Bloodshot #6 and X-O Database #1).

Though the VVSS edition of the Second Life of Dr. Mirage #1 was planned,
the books were never officially solicited by Valiant as part of the program,
and only two surviving copies of the VVSS certificate have surfaced to date.
One of the certificates was cut, as if it was to be destroyed.
The other was found with a Turok #1 VVSS edition.
